It has been designed with every comfort in mind. Please make yourself at home and think safety as you are in the semi-wild with an abundance of nature’s animals, a lake with clean, deep water. You should find everything easy to use.
A detailed welcome package will be provided with instructions about using the equipment and features of the cottage.
GENERAL RULES
- Change over day is Friday, out by 11:00 am, In by 3:00 pm
- The property will be clean for your arrival and should be left clean. Should you wish, our cleaners will do this for you at a cost of $75.00. YOU MUST LET US KNOW IN ORDER TO SCHEDULE THE CLEANING.
- ½ DAY RENTAL WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR DEPOSIT IF NO PRIOR CLEANING ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE
- The WATER SYSTEM draws from the lake and purifies the water through a GE ultra filtration membrane system making the water clean for drinking, cooking and bathing.
- Please bring proper LIFE JACKETS
Cottage rental fees vary according to time of year and length of stay.
The weekly rental fees range from $1,500 to $4,000, depending on the time of season.
The cottage lot and grounds
The property is well wooded having a southern exposure, which provides beautiful sunrises and summer sun on the dock and beach until 6:30 – 9:00 pm. There is a picturesque island across from the cottage. It is a very tranquil and enjoyable lake.
The lot slopes to a 180 foot water front which has a child friendly natural sand beach leading into shallow water. This beach has a stone patio and sitting area adjacent to supervise children. A canoe is available and can be launched from there.
A set of luxury granite steps and stone pathway leads down to the sand beach then along to a boat dock and swimming area with water depth of 12 feet.
There is a large wooden play set with swings at the back of the cottage so kids can play safely away from the water. There is also a fire pit for bonfires and toasting marshmallows. To complement the stone work, there are beautiful flower gardens watered by an automatic sprinkler system and tended by a local gardener.
Cottage overview
The centerpiece of the cottage is a large Muskoka Room that is completely bug proof with full screening. It provides 180 degrees of unobstructed viewing and functions as an outdoor conversation room, arts & crafts or dining area. It contains a BBQ which is fed by a large capacity propane master tank. Propane also powers the furnace and hot water heater.
The Cottage has a master bedroom suite with private balcony and queen size bed, dressers and fully equipped en suite washroom and Satellite TV / DVD player. There are 4 other full bedrooms with double beds, as well as a comfortable detached Bunkie with its own sink and toilet. A crib is available and highchair are also available.
In the main area of the Cottage, there is an open concept Great Room with high vaulted ceilings, a living and dining area and fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, trash compactor, microwave, fridge and stove. The dining room seats 10 people and 3 more can sit at the kitchen bar seating area. The great room also contains a stone wood-burning fire place and entertainment system with built in speakers, a receiver and a 5 disc CD player. There is high-speed wireless Internet access throughout the Cottage.
